“Pretty Eyes Don’t Mean That You Can See”

Brown eyes you can’t see

No matter how hard you try to break free

From your man made misery

And you blame me

Brown eyes you can’t see

Although I loved only you

Our love can’t be

No matter what you do

Your eyes can’t see his-story

Let alone my destiny

Brown eyes you can’t see me

Right before your eyes

Dreaded and wise

With open eyes you won’t see it

Though I made moves that you tried to interpret

Your eyes won’t let you see that man is imperfect

Because you felt pain

You say that it is not worth it

You say that you’re in love

But you’re quick to grab other hugs

Concerned about others?

None of the time

You flow with only yourself in mind

A selfish love seems to be all you’ve known

At least to me

That is all you’ve shown

Brown eyes I not totally blaming you

But I expected you to come through

We united as one

And now we’re done

Because my mind can’t feel you

And pretty eyes don’t mean that you can see
